Refund and Returns Policy
Last updated: 12 September 2026
Two things worth knowing before you read the detail: if your kit does not fruit, you never have to send anything back to us. If you simply change your mind about an unused item, we do need it returned.
Our grow guarantee
If you follow the instructions and your kit does not produce mushrooms, we will make it right. Email hello@growhypha.com within 60 days of delivery, tell us what happened and send a couple of photos of the bag, and we will send a replacement kit or refund you, whichever you prefer. Keep or bin the original — there is nothing to return and the 30-day returns rules below do not apply to it.
This guarantee is on top of your legal rights, not instead of them.
Changed your mind
You can return any unused item within 30 days of it arriving and we will refund you in full, including standard outbound delivery. The item needs to be unused and in its original packaging so we can resell it. Email hello@growhypha.com with your order number first and we will send you the returns details.
You pay the cost of sending it back unless the item is faulty. We will refund you within 14 days of the goods reaching us, or of you showing us proof you have sent them, to the payment method you used.
A grow kit that has been opened or inoculated cannot be returned this way, because it cannot be resold. The grow guarantee above is what covers you there.
Your legal right to cancel
Separately from the 30-day window above, if you are a consumer you have a legal right to cancel. You have 14 days from the day your order arrives to tell us you are cancelling, and a further 14 days to send the goods back.
That right does not depend on you still having the original packaging. If goods come back to us used or handled more than you would have been able to handle them in a shop, we may reduce your refund to reflect the value lost, but we will not refuse it. The 30-day window above is us being more generous than the law requires, not a limit on this right.
You can tell us you are cancelling in any clear way — an email to hello@growhypha.com is easiest — or by using the form at the bottom of this page.
Faulty, damaged or wrong items
If something arrives damaged, faulty or not what you ordered, email us within 30 days with a photo of the problem and you can have a full refund. After 30 days we will repair, replace or refund it. Usually the photo is all we need; if we do want the item back we pay the postage, and its original packaging is not required.
Faulty goods stay your right for up to five years in Scotland and six years elsewhere in the UK, not just 30 days.
How to send something back
Wherever you are, email hello@growhypha.com with your order number before you send anything back, and we will confirm the details.
UK and EU orders: returns go to Hypha, 1108 3/2 Argyle Street, Glasgow G3 8TD. Please get proof of postage — until a parcel reaches us, or you can show it was sent, it is still your responsibility.
US and Australian orders: please do not post anything to the Glasgow address. These orders are fulfilled inside your country, so email us to start the return and we will tell you where to send it, or whether we need it back at all.
Memberships and courses
Hypha app memberships are covered by our Terms and Conditions, not this policy. Memberships bought through the App Store or Google Play are refunded by Apple or Google under their own policies.
How to reach us
Email hello@growhypha.com with your order number and we will reply within 2 working days.
Model cancellation form
You do not have to use this form, but you can if you want to. Copy it into an email to hello@growhypha.com or post it to the address above.
